Rotunda Blackletter: a script inspired by Carolingian with a rounded blackletter appearance. It became popular in Southern Europe around the 13-15th centuries, differing from the straight lined and angular sibling, Textura.
This is my modern take on the script, inspired by a plethora of old rotunda manuscripts and a fusion of several variations of the letterforms. These are the combinations I find most striking, complementary and visually whole as a body of text.

plus an instruction page for some extra detail on pens, angles and guidelines.
The worksheets will build up your skills using drill exercises and eventually lead you through the steps to create each letterform of the lowercase alphabet. There is a reference sheet and a worksheet that includes directions on each letter to guide you through the movements of each stroke.
Feel free to print these worksheets as many times as you like to practice your lowercase Rotunda calligraphy.
The best pen suitable for these sheets is a 4.5mm broad edge pen or nib; alternatively a 5mm pen will do.
